Once again, Tom, Mom and I made the trip to Nebraska to visit with "El Mariachi," for 3 days the third weekend of March. I was suprised to see that he and "El Mariachi's Dakota" had pretty much gone their own ways (although ocassionally still seen together). Jason (of the 3-Strikes Ranch) had told me that El Mariachi had a band of 7, but when we got there, he was down to 2 mares that he kept a pretty close eye on. While we hoped for good weather, it snowed and was generally cold and windy until the day we left - which was beautiful. Even the horses must be getting tired of the snow by now. Enjoy the photos... |

My first glimpse of El Mariachi - the 2 mares on the right are "his." |

Stormy weather makes the horses kinda "flighty."

This little bay stallion really thinks he's something. |

It's pretty much all for show, but always exciting to watch. |

He's calmed down, but he's still a very alert stallion. |
